Another Saturday © 1992/93 Jesse Blevins F C F It's just another Saturday C F C F I could work, but then I'd rather play. Bb C It's a quarter 'til nine, the sun is shining F C Dm Through my kitchen window. C Bb C I'm just taking my time, making it mine, I'm F C F Doing what I please. My daughter is a little child. She's precocious and a little wild. The things that she says amaze and amuse me, She's always into something. The things that she sees, remind me of me when I was not quite five. It's amazing how the time goes by. How the years and then the decades fly. I couldn't wait to grow up and do what I wanted, Hadn't quite decided, When my daddy grew old and finally told me, "Do it while you can." My daugher is a woman now. She grew up, although I don't know how. She's smart and she's pretty, lives in the city, Knows where she's going. She's out on her own, sometimes she phones me. I see her now and then. It's just another Saturday, Now I'm working, though I'd rather play. It's a quarter 'til ten. It's cloudy again, and yet, I'm just as happy. I'm paying my dues. I'm getting 'round to it, Doing what I can.
